Why do you teach Pilates?
I've been a long-time yoga and mat Pilates addict. After trying reformer Pilates post the birth of my second child, I had never felt so strong. I became addicted and knew right then that a career change out of corporate and into Pilates instructing was my new goal. I have always had a passion for health and wellness and I knew I wanted to learn more. I couldn't wait teach others what I was learning about how to feel strong and move their bodies for fun like I have learnt to love. I love helping others get stronger and feel improvements within their bodies.

Favourite Pilates Exercise?
Long stretch to planks! Or a teaser flow!

Signature move that you love to teach?
Any layered exercises that builds up to a slow burn! Side lying glutes, lunge series, flying splits!

What's your favourite workout music?
I like to play chilled music to trick everyone into thinking it will be a chilled class (insert evil laugh). R&B Fridays though is always a winner!

What is so good about Pilates and why do you think everyone loves it?
Pilates is low impact but can be high intensity! It is safe for joints so it suits most people. You can feel yourself getting stronger each class and there is always a new challenge to keep it fun! You feel muscles you never knew you had which keeps you coming back for more! Plus, you get to exercise lying down - what's not to love?

Why do you teach Pilates?
I am a long time pilates lover and started integrating it into my movement routine throughout the week. I love the way it makes me feel and the balance I find within my muscles and body.
I am super passionate about people and love connecting with new people that come to class each day and hearing about their Pilates journey.
Pilates is such an amazing way to move your body each day and see progress every single day. Pilates is kind to your body and a practice you can implement every single day without creating injuries and strains on the body.
Favourite Pilates exercise?
Any variation of a plank series or maybe scooters I can’t decide.
Signature move that you love to teach?
Layers layers layers layers! I love that you can add onto every and all Pilates exercises! Expect a lot of side glute series! And a lot more layers!

What’s your favourite workout music?
My class playlists really depend on my mood it can RNB, chill music or a bit of indie pop. I am so indecisive so always changing it up.
What is so good about Pilates and why do you think everyone loves it?
Pilates is one of a kind and once you start you’ll be hooked and will keep coming back, I can almost guarantee it. Pilates works from the inside out, focusing on a mind muscle connection and controlled movements.
Pilates targets muscles you didn’t know you have and the community around Base will have you making new friends.
There is a class for everyone and every ability at Base and you will always leave feeling challenged. See you in the studio soon x

Why do you teach Pilates?
My love of Pilates started on the mat and grew into a love of reformer. At this point I knew that I wanted to immerse myself more in this world and began my teacher training. I wanted to help others know that they can gain strength, mobility, great posture, control while working out safely, in a way that is kind to their muscles and joints! I can’t believe I get to call this work- I love meeting new people and watching them progress in their own Pilates journey.
Favourite Pilates exercise?
I love back facing lunges/scooters on the carriage.
Signature move that you love to teach?
I've been told I can highlight those inner thighs on a regular occurrence!
Love to challenge them with side facing thigh pulls on the carriage, and legs in straps…maybe a ball or magic circle there, to help them along :)
What’s your favourite workout music?
My Pilates playlists are full of 70’s and 80’s music…old school hits that everyone loves and hasn’t heard in a while.
What is so good about Pilates and why do you think everyone loves it?
There is nothing quite like pilates! It a form of exercise that is for anyone and everyone. It works so well because you can work in progressions and layers. If you feel like more of a challenge one day, you can elevate the exercise...or bring it back to basics.

Everyone should feel comfortable when they exercise and Pilates creates this environment. I think people love it because they can move their body and be challenged, while progressing at their own pace.

Why do you teach Pilates?
I got into Pilates as a way to try and get fitter and stronger and loved the feeling my instructors left me with. Because I hated my normal job, mum suggested I train to become an instructor as a career change and I haven't looked back!

I love being able to meet all sorts of people while teaching and enjoy helping everyone move their body and maybe helping them do things they didn't think they could do!
Favourite Pilates exercise?
Pelvic curl! Always so nice on my back, especially on a foam roller.
Signature move that you love to teach?
Probably a plank...any plank...downstretch, longstretch, upstretch, control balance
What’s your favourite workout music?
Something mellow as background music. I'm not fussy.

Personally, I love classic rock, but you probably won't hear that in a Pilates class!
What is so good about Pilates and why do you think everyone loves it?
I love honing in on myself, noticing how my body is feeling, and letting that determine how i perform exercises.

I think people love Pilates because they can bring themselves back to their breath, and once they've got the exercise, they can just chill into it and let their body takeover.

What is so good about Pilates and why do you think everyone loves it?
Pilates offers so many benefits for our bodies, where you can train flexibility, strength and stability in a safe way, what’s not to love about that? Pilates is great form of exercise for all people where you can notice changes in your body after every class you go to! Pilates enhances our mindfulness, giving us the opportunity to focus on
the way our body moves and our breathing. Pilates is a full body workout, with both easier and harder options available depending on what you’re feeling that class!

Definitely some good pop music for an energetic session.
What is so good about Pilates and why do you think everyone loves it?
Pilates is an enjoyable and satisfying way to exercise as it combines challenging movements, breath control, and a mind-body focus. Pilates is tailored to meet individual goals, and it helps to strengthen, tone, and mobilise your full body. After a pilates class you will feel mentally refreshed and sore in muscle groups that you didn’t know existed!
